How do I find my filter size? Pull your current filter out — the size is printed on the cardboard frame. You can also check the inside of the furnace or air handler door for a filter chart.

Which MERV should I pick? MERV 8 is standard dust and pollen control and is safe for every system. MERV 11 adds finer allergen and pet dander capture. MERV 13 is the finest — great filtration, but check your system manual first, since some older systems prefer lower restriction.

What are the drain tablets for? Your AC pulls moisture out of the air and drains it away. Algae and sludge grow in that drain line; when it clogs, water backs up into your home. One tablet a month in the drain pan prevents it.
